Time flies\u00a0 6 years !!\u00a0 for GB7IN and nearly 20 years for GB3IN<\/p>\n
GB7IN has been a very reliable system, running the G4KLX MMDVM Host software and Arduino Due MMDVM modem has proved to be very successful, using the Tait 8100 series radios as the RF deck with Raspberry Pi B\u00a0as the host computer, pretty much perfect combination.<\/p>\n
Success is certainly down to not using the Pi Star distribution which was never intended for repeaters, its very easy to build your own version of the G4KLX software from source as it was intended, rarely needs attention this way and just runs happily, as I write this I have just logged in to GB7IN for the first time since November 7th so 6 months ago and the Pi OS has an uptime of 129 days 22 hours this says it all I think !<\/p>\n

Today 31\/10\/2016 GB7IN was installed up at the Repeater site first impressions seem Favorable but early days still quite a bit of work and fine tuning needed, in the coming weeks \/ days we will possibly be adding an RX Amplifier as we had done to GB7RR, this is the first time we have run UHF from this site so it’s all new to us and very different to VHF as we have learnt in the past,\u00a0all reports welcome please to gb3in@gb3in.co.uk<\/p>\n
GB7IN\u00a0 TS1 TG9 is linked to the regional East Midlands cluster along with\u00a0 GB7DC Derby, GB7LR Leicester GB7RR Nottingham users with hotspots or indeed on other repeaters out of area or country can join the locals by linking to 4419 reflector on Brandmeister all welcome.<\/p>\n
On TS2 TG9 you can dial any of the Reflectors on the FreeDMR Network.<\/p>\n
As with all FreeDMR Repeaters the minimum approach for programming your radio has been a major part of the networks success in the UK. \u00a0You just need to program TG9 on both Timeslots \u00a0& \u00a0CC 1 and you can use most facilities.<\/p>\n
