{"id":472,"date":"2024-03-14T15:50:37","date_gmt":"2024-03-14T15:50:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gb3in.co.uk\/?page_id=472"},"modified":"2024-03-14T15:50:37","modified_gmt":"2024-03-14T15:50:37","slug":"gb7hq","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.gb3in.co.uk\/?page_id=472","title":{"rendered":"GB7HQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GB7HQ is an experimental repeater currently operational on 145.66250 Output and 145.066250 Input in DMO mode it is using a TDMA capable radio, it relays the traffic it hears 30mS later onto the Output frequency and therefore works without the need of a duplexer.<\/p>\n<p>This is a first for us, I am calling it DFR DMO mode it is similar in principle to a single frequency repeater SFR, however SFR requires more complex radios with a special protocol enabled<\/p>\n<p>In DFR DMO mode any radio capable of DMO mode DMR is potentially capable of operating this mode<\/p>\n<p>Some radios cannot directly use DMO mode on a pair of frequencies as they assume to be expecting a standard DMR repeater with 2 slots &#8230;however the repeater can be used with non supported radios by programming 2 simplex channels one on the input and\u00a0 one the output frequency and switching between the 2 channels RX or TX, another method could be to setup both channels in a scan list so you TX on the input and the radio scans the 2 channels input and output frequencies<\/p>\n<p>If you are lucky enough to be using a radio supporting OpenGD77 firmware any of these radios are now supporting this mode as of 16\/3\/2024 take a look the list of radios is growing using this firmware.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.opengd77.com\/index.php\">https:\/\/www.opengd77.com\/index.php<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GB7HQ is an experimental repeater currently operational on 145.66250 Output and 145.066250 Input in DMO mode it is using a TDMA capable radio, it relays the traffic it hears 30mS later onto the Output frequency and therefore works without the need of a duplexer.
